Mayan Collapse   (2-3 hours)

Students take on the role of archaeologists to investigate the reasons for the collapse of Mayan society at the city of Copan.  They analyse different sources to reach their conclusions and to understand why seemingly positive developments might not be so good in the long run.  They use the lessons from the Maya to begin thinking about some of our own practices

What is Sustainability Anyway?  (20 hours)

This Education Module provides engaging lesson plans and resources to teach middle school students about Environmental Sustainability concepts and challenges.  From ecological footprint calculators to the challenge of reducing consumption. From researching local environmental action to looking at ways we can all make a difference.

Global Warming - Global Warning  (20 hours)

This Education Module takes a detailed look at Climate Change - it's causes, consequences and solutions.  This is an all-inclusive program that utilising the best material available on the Internet as well as material that has been specifically created by HotRock.
