This Education Module provides learning experiences that will allow students to:

*Analyse how photovoltaic cells work.

*Know how different solar technologies work.

*Make a Solar Powered car.

*Design an advertisement for a solar innovation.

*Create a Power Point on a Renewable Energy source.

*Engage in a debate on which energy source is best suited to Australia.

The Story of Carbon introduces students to the concept of carbon and why planting trees is so vital in combating global warming.

Within the 'Growing' component the students germinate and grow the herbs, vegetables and companion plants for their garden.

Within the 'Soil' component the students learn about soil biology and how it is the most important system within an organic garden. They make compost and manage the school wormfarm.
