HotRock is an Australian-based charitable organisation that is
helping secondary schools to deliver sustainability education. The
charity was formed in 2007 with the clear purpose of educating our
youth for a sustainable future.
HotRock is helping schools and teachers to:
- Deliver environmental sustainability education that is current,
relevant and meets the prescribed learning outcomes.
- Implement projects and procedures to reduce school and
individual carbon footprints.
- Introduce living teaching tools, such as a food garden and a
native seed germination project.
- Promote environmental awareness through student engagement in
the concepts delivered by HotRock's Education Resources.
- Increase community involvement and spirit.
- Take advantage of all available grants - including money
available directly from HotRock.
- The aim is to provide learning that kindles young people's
interest in their Earth and will allow them to make informed
decisions and concious actions in their lives. All of which will
have future impacts.
